Ripple Effects

Following a letter that I wrote to the Minister of Water and Irrigation, which received the Pulitzer Center First Place award as a local letter for global change, I began volunteering through Nahno, a UNICEF sponsored platform in Jordan. I worked with public school children on devices to help develop awareness surrounding issues of water sustainability, and to build devices to help preserve water in their homes.

The children loved the projects and ideas we explored together. This combination of art and environment made sustainability feel practical, creative, and fun. Through hands-on activities, students could see that saving water is not only a responsibility, but something they can actively contribute to. This website aims to expand that work by connecting volunteers, teachers, and donors to bring water-saving arts and crafts projects to more public school classrooms.
